Welcome to La Maison! Right in the Arts District, our restaurant in Blois is just a stone’s throw from the banks of the Loire, its royal château and its former abbey.Since the 1800s, the La Maison building has been home to many restaurants. Formerly known as l'Assiette au Bœuf, our restaurant continues to welcome family meals and dinners with friends. We’ve kept its simple, welcoming spirit. It’s a comfortable place to enjoy lunch or dinner. In short, just like home.We serve generous, comforting traditional French cuisine. We use fresh, seasonal ingredients and adapt our dishes to what’s available. Our experience in Parisian brasseries and restaurants has taught us the importance of consistency and attentive service.

When you step inside our traditional restaurant in Blois, you’re looking for food with flavour and meaning. We cook recipes rooted in French regional cuisine. Seasonal starters, salads, vegetarian options, meats, cheeses, desserts… Everything is prepared in-house using fresh, seasonal ingredients. To accompany your meal, you’ll also find:
- a wine list (white, red, rosé and sparkling);
- simple pairings to complement your dishes (available à la carte or as part of a set menu);
- recommendations to help you choose when ordering.
But at La Maison, our signature dishes are our slow-cooked specialties. Gently cooked over a long period, these delicious, comforting dishes are always a crowd-pleaser.

Looking for a restaurant to host a group meal in Blois? Celebrate a birthday, christening, business meal or family gathering over a delicious meal.
We have two dining rooms and a terrace open from April to the end of October. Depending on your event, we can offer exclusive use of our upstairs dining room or terrace (subject to the season). We can accommodate 30 to 40 guests, with arrangements planned in advance to avoid any surprises. From our very first conversation, we’ll agree on:
- the number of people;
- your preferred layout;
- the time;
- the meal format.
